I know that running or walking are potentially hazardous. I should not enter and run/walk unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run/walk. I assume all risks associated with running/walking, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather including high heat, and/or humidity, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waver and knowing the facts, I for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the City of New York and its agencies and departments, Patchen- Bernabel,Inc., IC Audio and race sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver.

 GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROONEY RUN/WALK - SATURDAY MAY 17, 2008

MEETING AREA: The east side of the 102nd Street transverse in Central Park. (You can enter the park at 102nd Street and Fifth Avenue.) All walkers, runners, children, dogs, etc. are encouraged to join in.

COURSE: 3 miles. Walkers may also choose a shorter 1-mile course. Both courses start and finish on the East side of 102nd Street.

DATE AND TIME: Saturday, May 17th at 10am.  Rain or shine.

DONATION: $20. All donations go to the Lymphoma Foundation, a public foundation that gives research grants to improve the care of people with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and Hodgkin's disease.

POST-RACE: New Location: Food and refreshments after the race at Pat O'Brien's, 1701 Second Avenue at 88th Street.
